Studio Ghibli & Hayao Miyazaki - Ponyo
Delve into the fantastical as you see breath-taking animation that forces you use your imagination like you have never before. Not expecting anything going into the theatre, I was pleasantly surprised by everything about this movie. Even the music was brilliant. Wow. I have always like the Studio Ghibli movies growing up...I think I've watched all of their movies. But this one tops all of them. It's better than 'Spirited Away', "Long Mao", and even cuts it close with 'Castle in the Sky' and 'Howl's Moving Castle'. The one and only word to describe this movie...would be - simply put - magical. It's a definite must-see.

The Sims 3 - Non-bootlegged Version
I consider The Sims to be one of the most ingenious PC games to be created. Ever. Including the games at http://www.gamehouse.com under "Time Management Games". Brilliant stuff. I am so addicted that my sleeping hours are seriously screwed up again.
When I signed onto MSN Messenger today, or rather, opened my I.E., the first thing that caught my eye was this article:
http://blog.newsweek.com/blogs/thehumancondition/archive/2009/08/19/who-exactly-is-outraged-at-michelle-obama-s-shorts.aspx?GT1=43002
Really? "People" are outraged because the President's wife wore shorts to go hiking? It's almost as if people are critizing her for using pads instead of tampons... (?) ... almost. Haha.
Who cares?

sweet escape
Pocketful of Sunshine - Natasha Bedingfield
Take me away to a secret place, to better days...
That was the first time that my dad had threw something - not at me - ...but threw something...a lot of somethings. I got so upset that I just had to get out of the house. I was going to walk to the nearby park, but it just felt eerie. I walked around my street and ended up back on the front steps. As I sat there, I just wished that I was already away in Korea, that I didn't have to deal with family and boyfriend. A silly thought, nonetheless. It's not like I'm going there to run away from problems.
After, Titus came and brought me watermelon and Lucas. A sweet gesture...finally. I was really full from dinner, but I just needed something sweet to wash away the bitter taste on my tongue.
This is the first bad thing that happened this summer.

Suz & Brian's Wedding
Ne-yo . Because Of You
Congratulations to Suzanne & Brian! August 15, 2009...that special day.
It was a hell lotta fun...In the morning, during the wedding mass - which was beautiful by the way - I was soo nervous for them! I couldn't believe that they were going to get married. But as the mass went on, I got really excited for them...and happy for them! I have to say that the choir did pretty well, considering there were only 7-8 singers :) Although I had missed the last practice, it was strange how I was just able to sing along to the songs that I didn't really know. It was definitely a special wedding.
Getting ready with the girls at Eva's was fun...but stressful fun. I don't exactly understand how girls can take THAT LONG to get ready!! But I guess I didn't really have to do my hair - but still!
The party was great! I have never danced so much in my life! I don't really care if I danced weird...I just know that it was a lotta fun and I really "let loose". LOL. We danced and danced and danced...there was no stopping us. We even refused the break that the DJ asked us to take.
Open bar & dancing all night - can't go wrong?
I'm really happy for Suzanne & Brian! I'm already wondering when they're going to have a kid...hahaha.
Anyways, I went to Stratford with Carmen today. A Midsummer's Night Dream was our pick. It was pretty good, except I was SO EXHAUSTED from the night before. I sort of fell asleep during some parts of the play, which I thought was a total waste. I wish I was more awake to fully appreciate the production. It was a modern rendition with the same story line. I think I would've liked it more if it was more fairy-like and set in older times. Hopefully, this will help me get a jump start to the Shakespeare course I'm enrolled in. *Fingers crossed*
I can't say this enough - BEST. SUMMER. EVER.
No, seriously.
Okay, I'm off to bed. X_X

A Farewell Too Soon
Krezip - Sweet Goodbyes
Except goodbyes aren't sweet. After spending every day of one month with Jo, it's really weird to say goodbye. But with an somewhat awkward hug, she's off to gate C30-something. Thank you for all the great times :) Pigging out, art galleries, raspberry picking, camping, Niagara Falls, shopping, movie-ing, cooking, gambling....I've had a great time and I hope you did too. I'm already anticipating our next reunion in H.K. Summer '10. See you then.
!@#$%
I need more love. It's like a drug and I'm going through withdrawal. Maybe that's the understatement of the year. I was so turned off at dinner. How can you be like that?
And why do YOU keep turning up in my dreams? Of all people, you're the most unlikely.

Alan's Barbecue
Be Be Your Love - Rachael Yamagata
I haven't had so much fun in awhile! Wait! What am I talking about? Last time I had so much fun was Sandbanks! - which was 2 weeks ago! Ain't I the lucky one. :)
I feel so happy right now...despite these abnormal menstrual cramps >:(
Social drinking - overdid it and my skin will probably react to it by tomorrow. Why do these youngin's love to drink so much? Like it's really cool or something. But it just makes you look sorta idiotic. Or immature.
Thanks Alan for the great party!
Upcoming: DT w/ Jo, Rhapsody + 500 Days of Summer w/ Carm, Fruit/Veggie Picking, PINERY! This has to be the best summer yet!
PS. Sometimes, you're so attractive...no, all the time. It can't be helped. I don't think it's mutual. Is there such thing as a one-sided magnet? Every thought of "what if".......
